Recover in Confidence at The ECH Care Hotel

Designed with health and wellbeing at its core, ECH College Grove opened in June 2020 and has been truly embraced by ECH clients, residents and the broader community alike.

With services ever expanding and further development planned, ECH now refer to the site as the ECH Care Hotel – College Grove. Current services now available include Allied Health Group Programs, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy and Hydrotherapy.

Hydrotherapy services are delivered in the onsite hydro pool, which is heated between 28 and 35 degrees.

The pool offers unique and advanced forms of therapy, including one-on-one sessions, group classes and the option for free exercise where you can do your own workout with help and guidance from a trained ECH Exercise Physiologist or Fitness Leader.

ECH Care Hotel Manager, Mandy Ross, says ECH is passionate about providing an integrated and connected community hub that offers a range of services to clients and is excited for the next phase of development.

“Our goal is to provide older people with the support and tools they need to return home and remain independent.”

“With phase one of the development now complete, the next stage will be for the ECH Care Hotel – College Grove to offer short stay accommodation, a concept adapted from the ECH Short Stay Respite Centre in Henley Beach,” says Mandy.

The ECH Care Hotel will provide clients with the opportunity to be supported in a warm and welcoming home-like environment for a short period of time as they transition out of hospital.

ECH Chief Executive Dr David Panter says the accommodation available at the Care Hotel will offer people the chance to build up confidence again before returning home.

“Clients have full flexibility and control over their stay and can return home when they have regained confidence and are able to live independently,” says David.

The opening date of accommodation at the ECH Care Hotel is expected to be mid-2021. Watch this space for more information!
